Thank You Daniel Hannan!

I was listening to the Sean Hannity radio show today and he featured a caller, Daniel Hannan, who is an MEP in the European Parliament. This brave gentlemen gave a speech before his Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, that I dream any conservative politician here in the U.S. would give before our President. It was direct, strong and right on target. I truly admire this man's courage. Thank you Daniel Hannan for saying what so many are reluctant to say! Here's hoping that someone in our country will have the courage to speak in the same manner as Mr. Hannan.

Liberty and Tyranny

Found another good book today! Radio talk show host Mark Levin just came out with his latest book "Liberty and Tyranny" A Conservative Manifesto. It was released just yesterday and debuted at number one on the New York Times best seller list. It's also number one on Amazon.com. I went to my local Barnes and Noble today and it was sold out! Proceeded to Borders and was able to obtain their very last copy. Wow! Looks like conservativism is not as marginalized as the media would like us to believe. Gives me hope that a conservative grass roots movement is on the march!

Book Recommendations

I'm reading a couple of great books now that are very timely. One is "The History of the Great Depression" A New History of the Great Depression by Amity Shlaes. The other is "New Deal or Raw Deal?" How FDR's Economic Legacy Has Damaged America by Burton Folsom Jr. I learned in high school history class that FDR and his policies saved us from the Great Depression. According to these two authors this is not necessarily true. In fact, his policies actually prolonged the depression and increased it's severity. Shocking huh? What's even more shocking is that these same disastrous policies are being implemented to help bring us out of the current economic crisis. You'd think our politicians would learn from history and not just repeat it!

TV News Ratings!

I just checked out the latest ratings of news broadcasts on Tvnewsers.com. This is very revealing! Fox news is running away with the best ratings! Of course, you would never know this, the liberal media does not want to admit to this, but it is very encouraging to all of us average Americans. I don't want a news program that just regurgitates my own sentiments. I want journalists and tv news to report both sides of an issue. Apparently, the American public feels that Fox News is the only news organization who is doing exactly that, reporting both sides of all issues! Go Fox!

Too Good to be True!

I thought I must have been dreaming when I read this. Could President Obama's sky high approval ratings really be dropping that rapidly? Check out the following Wall Street Journal report and see for yourself. I pray for him as a person and for his family, but his policies are taking this country down a dangerous path. Let's hope America is waking up to this reality. Poll numbers are indicating this may be happening already!

Warren Buffett Speaks Out Against Obama!

Ok, maybe he didn't exactly speak out directly against President Obama, but he did criticize three major issues that the President supports - cap and trade, "card check", and the villainizing of corporations for using private jets. This is huge and just the latest in a string of liberals who have protested in the media against the administration's misguided policies! With friends like these...

Will it ever end?

Will the battle for Senator of the state of Minnesota ever end? Norm Coleman won this contest on election night and Al Franken has been fighting it ever since. To many of us conservatives it appears Franken has been trying to steal this election by discounting votes from Republican districts and the military vote. Well, today the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled that Franken has no right to an election certificate before the end of Coleman's court case. A small achievement, but in the current political climate we'll take what we can get. Let's pray that justice prevails and Norm Coleman retains his Senate seat.

Rush Limbaugh speaks at CPAC

I realized after my last post that it would have been most appropriate to inaugurate my blogsite with a post of Rush Limbaugh and his CPAC speech. After all, he is the "defacto leader of the Republican party"! haha... But really, the speech was inspiring and a rousing battle cry to all true conservatives. Very Reaganesque! Way to go Rush! Here's the link...

Jim Cramer on the Today Show

This is my first post documenting conservative American successes. In a time such as this where socialism is being thrust upon us and liberal media is all too eager to highlight liberal achievements and ignore any opposition, I felt the only way to preserve my sanity would be to remind myself (and others) in a blog of all that is going our way. So, here is one small, tiny ray of hope for all us Conservatives. The following link relates the story of CNBC's Jim Cramer who supported President Obama in the election and now has seen the light! Hallelujah!
